Yep, it's early summer, and that means Strawberries from Eckert's! Strawberry jam too, of course. Somehow last year we missed the very short strawberry season, but this time we went on the first day. Yum! The kids each made a batch of jam, and we had plenty left over for eating. We'll have to go back for more berries to freeze and make shortcake since we already ate most of what was left ... If you haven't had freshly picked warm, juicy strawberries right off the vine, you don't know what you're missing!
